First outbreak of the Candida auris, type of yeast or fungi, has been reported recently in the Texas and Washington, USA (source). This fungus is not dangerous for the people with strong immune system, but can be a big problem for those with the impaired immunity – people with chronic or opportunistic diseases.


“DNA-Technology” has completed the quality assessment study of SARS-CoV-2 molecular detection coordinated by Quality Control for Molecular Diagnostics (QCMD), UK. As the only Russian participant, “DNA-Technology” entered the target group and received an International Certificate confirming the quality of products: during quality assessment study a complete technological process chain was tested, including equipment and kits for RNA extraction and SARS-CoV-2 detection. We are pleased to present a new article “Semen microbiota: cluster analysis of real-time PCR data” by Voroshilina E.S., Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology, Ural State Medical University, with a group of authors. They have conducted a cluster
analysis of semen microbiota of reproductive-age patients with infertility and healthy males using Androflor real-time PCR detection kit (DNA-Technology, Russia).

New research that was aimed to investigate molecular basis of the vaginal microbiome applying the Femoflor® 16 test system in women with nonspecific colpitis has become available on the website under Study Guides section. As a result of the extensive research, authors have confirmed that the real-time PCR-based Femoflor® 16 test system provides results corresponding to those of conventional microbiology regarding the assessment of the vaginal flora state.
