DTmag-16S Magnetic Rack

The DTmag 16S Magnetic Rack is a compact benchtop device designed for manual nucleic acid extraction protocols that rely on magnetic particle separation.

The rack integrates powerful magnets, each positioned precisely opposite one of the 16 tube slots, ensuring rapid and efficient capture of magnetic beads on the inner wall of standard 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tubes.

This rack delivers reliable magnetic separation and is suitable for two key applications:

1. Nucleic acid purification – suitable for all stages of the workflow, from cell lysis and washing to final elution and nucleic acid concentration. Compatible reagent kits:

  • PREP-MB-LITE (package N)

  • PREP-MB-RAPID II (package N)

  • PREP-MB MAX (package N)

2. Manual PCR mix preparation without the use of an automated liquid handling workstation, making this method cost-effective for a small amount of samples.

  • Secure tube retention – the specially profiled holders offer an extended contact surface, firmly gripping each tube to prevent tipping during mixing and handling.
