Сytomegalovirus (CMV) invades a body through saliva, genital secretions during sexual intercourse, through breast milk, during organ transplantation and donor blood transfusion, when using donor sperm and ovigerms, as well as nonsterile syringes. Moreover, introduction of CMV infection can occur even during fetus prenatal development period in pregnant women with viremia.
The Сytomegalovirus (CMV) Real-Time PCR Detection Kit is in vitro DNA test, which is intended for the specific identification of Сytomegalovirus in human biological samples.
